I own Team Fitz Graphics, a sign company in Cincinnati. Every day we had 4×8 and 5×10 sheets of PVC, acrylic, and aluminum leaned up against every open wall — warping, getting scratched, eating floor space we needed for production.
So I built a rack to hold them upright and out of the way. It worked well enough in our own shop that I patented the design and started building it for other shops with the same problem.
Flat stacks force you to keep an aisle clear on every side just to pull one sheet. Vertical storage turns that same footprint into a single narrow slot.
Storing sheets on end instead of flat cuts the footprint of your material storage by roughly a third — space that goes back to production or staging.
Built for 4' × 8' sheets or 5' × 10' sheets, so it fits standard PVC, acrylic, aluminum, and glass without custom sizing.
Sheets slide into individual slots and lean at a fixed, stable angle — no wrestling a full sheet off a flat stack underneath three others.

Bolt the base feet and middle weldment together on the floor.
Fix the front panel and back uprights to the base.
Set the large panels and fixing tubing in place, holes up.
